After looking at your profile, I assume you have had this car for quite a
while. If the noise is a recent development then, if it were mine, I
wouldn't shrug it off as normal without looking into it further. I seem to
remember reading somewhere that when you have play in the shaft of
the turbo it can create a whine, but I am no expert.As to the second issue, I had something similar happening under WOT. I
was able to (mostly) correct the problem by reducing the gap in my spark
plugs. It is probably worth checking along with doing the 6 Ps.
