Why would you think that I want a higher reading speedometer to prevent people from slamming on their brakes? Thats nothing close to what I stated my intentions or desires for a different speedometer were. I said that I just wanted something to gauge my speed above 160. Not a horrible thing to want. Nothing wrong with even wanting it. You quoted my response to "I hope to fuck you're doing this on a track... who am I kidding, you're not even doing this on the street.", in which I said that I had no intentions of reaching speeds like that on streets. Only places I would ever gauge a speed that high are at the track (not really needed... not enough track for me to get that much speed) and open roads (we have a deserted road right outside the base, as well as a completely open highway between here and Texas). If I have a gauge I just prefer it to be completely functional (i.e., displaying the highest of anything that occurs, including speed, oil pressure, boost pressure, water pressure... you get the point. Granted, the others next to speed are a necessity for monitoring the vehicles engine and what is going on but if I have a gauge, I don't want it to be pinned...
