Guys I noticed when I started my 93TT project up today, that the temp gauge automatically went to the 'warm' position. The car hadnt been started in probably a month ago, so somethings up. I noticed when I was driving the car, and it was starting to warm up, I could see when I stepped further on the gas, the temp gauge would actually move up just a little, and when I let off, it would go down a little. I tested the gauge by grounding out the single prong connector located on the upper water pipe, and it went to the full hot position, and disconnected, it was at the full cold position. I'm wondering if something is funny in the cluster, but its odd because when the car is fully warm, it reads just like it should... Thoughts?
