Message	oil resistance that Permatex has. Then really clean the surfaces to seal with laquer thinner. AS far as the plenum gasket use only the OEM with the seal side down. Make sure all surfaces clamp down to their full close position. Can't say what you did wrong cause not able to inspect the results and wasn't there when you did the work. ZUL8TR in Orlando,FL
