I have a slew of questions I am hoping someone can help me
with. First off, I am in Sacramento and I just bought a 1994
300zx Non-Turbo 2+2 with 126k. Absolutely love the car, its
awesome to drive, I got it for a really good deal but I need to
address a few things and was wondering where I should take
it, common things etc.First and most needed. When on idle, its not too smooth, esp
after a cold start like in the morning or after sitting a while, it
turns fine, and on park it runs fairly nice (sounds good) but
esp when you put it in drive, its not smooth until you give it a
little gas. Also, the check engine light comes on and off, esp
when its not smooth and occasionally on the highway. Second, when I push the brake, this stupid red indicator lights
come on on the dash, its more of an annoyance but is there
something that needs to be fixed (thats easy possibly) to get
rid of that Third, brakes. The brakes work but they arent as good as I
need them to be. Any suggestions on what to get etc. Fourth, any thing I should mechanically to it since I just took
it over, should I replace the timing belt etc? Lastly, does anyone have a place in Sacramento they can
recommend that would do great work at a fair price. Im a
broke college student but I do have a little extra money that I
set aside for a car and since I got the 300zx at low cost, I
want to fix it up a bit.
