| Folks: I need a big favor: I am a retired USN Supply Officer, working for a Navy contractor supporting a Foreign Military Sales Case in Kuwait. Consequently I am in the US only a couple of times a year. I am trying to get some "intel" on how I can solve the following issues with my TT's exhaust system, "ahead of time" prior to my next return to the States. Currently I am running the following setup, exhaust wise: Z-1 GT 600R BB Turbo’s Greg Dupree 5 Bolt Super Split Down Pipes Gutted Mid Pipes Greddy Evo–II Cat Back Exhaust This setup (along with everything else) was tuned by Kyle of IPP to make 407 RWHP @ 14 PSI, and 457 RWHP @ 17 PSI on pump gas. The issue is the mid-pipes: last year I had the gutted mids replaced with SZ 2.5" TP's; which gave me a 15-20 RWHP increase, but I could not stand the "raspy" exhaust note at ~ 3000 RPM. So I put back on the gutted mids and sold the TP's. Now I am considering one of two options: 1. Going back to the 2.5" TP's, but with resonators, to cut down/eliminate the raspy (Civic-like) exhaust note. OR: 2. Springing for the new GD 3" Expansion DP's, with TP's that are 3" at the DP's and are 2.5" at the EVO-II end, again with resonators installed. QUESTION: Does anybody on the forum have the same setup? Can you make a sound clip of this setup and e-mail it to me, or post it on the web (maybe on YouTube, or?), so I can hear what it sounds like? Many thanks in advance... Mike in NW FL and now in Kuwait... P.S. I did post this on the General Forum, as I wanted to "cover all the bases"...
