fit when installed. All that you can do is squirt some WD 40 at the 2 pivot points and rock and pull downwards. You also might have to gently help it along with a pry from a tool. When you replace the alt with a rebuilt or new the bushing is usually pushed outwards so the fit is easy and when the main pivot bolt is tightened the bushing is pressed in for the zero fit. If you replace the same alt you will have to press the bushing outwards. Easy with a C clamp and a socket.
