the knock started as soon as the engine turned over, the oil pressure moved off of zero in about 5 seconds and steadily inclined to 60psi, but the second time i started it it would not go pass 40 psi at 3000rpm. I bought the oil pump new from nissan OEM. I have yet to put a manual gauge on the sending unit, but i did do that before the swap and my gauge in the car was correct then so it still should be correct now, also i put a new EFI harness while the motor was out. however what did just pop in my memory was a o-ring the went between the oil pump and the pick-up tube that was missing, i don't think that would effect the oil pressure seeing as the groove for the o-ring to sit is inside the tubing not between where both flanges meet.
