Hello Zeers, I don't normally post here but I might have a problem, so I'm hoping to be preemptive to prepare for it. I have 2.5 downpipes from Specialy Z installed. Love 'em! But, there a *slight* ring of rust developing around the flange of the passenger side downpipe. I had these installed only two years ago. The driver's side downpipe is free of rust. Pic of my problem is here: [ http://www.freeimagehosting.net/image.php?a371a761e6.jpg ] My questions are: 1) how long will it be before the dp in question rusts through, that is, what do you guys think will be the approximate lifespan? 2) What can I do about it now? Do I use a dremel tool to clean the rust and buy heat resistant paint as a means of damage control? My garage is super dry (am in southern California), although my dryer's humid exhaust does leak into the garage near the front passenger side of my car. Could this be the culprit? Thanks in advance.
