Message This is a really quick, off the top of my head recollection of removing mine. The tank itself is pretty easy, getting all the other stuff out of the way is the hard part. The rear suspension, rear differential, HICAS and subframe need to be removed. I'm pretty sure there are faqs on all of those.

You need to disconnect the gas filler hose connection on driver side at the tank connection. There is a plastic cover over the hose inside the driver rear wheel well. Two or three bolts and a couple of screws will remove the plastic cover so you can see the fuel filler hose connections at the gas door and tank. I'd drain the fuel from the tank drain plugs on each tank saddle for ease of handling since it is much lighter empty. Disconnect high pressure fuel feed and fuel return line hoses where they connect to the hard lines running towards engine bay. This is just in front of gas tank. There is also some vent lines there but they are easy to see and they connect to a small filter apparatuse mounted right next to the hard line hose connections.

Disconnect the wire plug to the fuel pump and fuel gauge sender under the drver side bulk head access port behind the driver seat undert the hatch "tray".

Put a jack under it and loosen the straps that hold tank in place. Let it down and guide it out. I think that was about it.
