| so i just had my mechanic finish my twin turbo swap. i bought a rhd jdm twin turbo front clip. I put this engine/tranny in my 1990 2 seater zx. Engine had slight tick when first started but has gone away completely now, I think it was just because it had been sitting for so long. The car was unbelievable the first few days i had it, pulled veryyyy hard. I've yet to redline it, just pushed it to 6k a few times. I've had the swap for about two weeks now the first thing i noticed was: -a huge loss in power, brought the car to another mechanic to have a boost gauge installed and he said when he ran the car in 3rd gear and punched it, i maybe got 6-7psi at most. (the car had rebuilt turbo's put on it during the swap) any ideas? and another issue i've met was two days ago, - i was on a straight away part of 95 and had nobody around me so i gave it a little gas to see what i had, the car accelerated hard up to around 115mph but would not go past that at all. im pretty sure the rpm's kept rising and i think the clutch might have been burning a little bit, not exactly sure though. It was a sudden hesitation though, like you felt the instant power loss. cant really describe it but it felt like maybe a governor was being activated? idk, any ideas? would a boost controller fix the boost issue? any help is greatly appreciated so i dont go buying things that arent nessecary. Anybody to a TT swap and run into similar issues? oh and the tranny was swapped to TT as well and i have z1 side mount intercoolers installed thanks
