So im putting on my timing belt, i have the crank and both drivers side sprockets lines in the correct place. The passenger side gears are pretty far off from were they should be. Im trying to line up the intake gear on the passenger side and im having a little trouble. The FAQ says if the sprocket is a bit off then rotate it with your old belt. The dot on the intake gear was pointing at about the 9:30 position when it should be close to 12ish, i tried rotating by hand, but i couldnt keep it at the 12 position, it went past it to about 2:00 position. I just want to know what would be the easiest way to get it in the right position at make it stay there. Should i try again by hand and immediatly put the new belt on it and clamp it in place?
