Message	96 do not have vtc on US model Z. So you can remove the solenoids from you jdm motor. Swap the cams from the intake side as i think that those were the only difference. If you want you can swap both exhaust and intake. Also if the injectors are different, either get the lower plenum machined on the jdm motor or get the deatchwerk adapter kit for the injectors.
