| 1990 na 2+2 I've searched the faqs and the 4 most possible sources of fuel/gas smell would be the following. 1. Fuel Dampner
2. Fuel Pressure Regulator
3. Gas Cap
4. Gas/fuel filler neck I've checked the fuel dampner and fuel presuure regulator under the hood. I can't smell any fuel from those parts. Upon searching on tt.net I notice that people would mention a donut rubber piece that attaches to the fuel filler neck. I haven't checked the fuel filler neck but this is what I saw when looking at the gas cap.
Notice the bent piece? Could this be the source of my fuel smell. I tried to compare it to other pictures found on the site but it appears to look different from the pictures I found. Could it could be because it was painted? I also considered that the fuel filler neck could be rusted. I searched on courtesyparts.com for a replacement part and they don't have any for the 2+2; only for the 2+0. Any ideas where this part (good quality) could be purchased? I havent looked behind the rear driver wheel well but i just wanted to get feedback. Any help would be appreciated.
