I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out what to do about this system. I would like to delete it off my car, but don't want to spend the cash on that mod right now. The urgancy is, the car is about down on the ground again after some mods. Last round of mods I replaced my steering wheel and gutter my clock spring sensor, making my HICAS inoperable. I knew this. However, when I drove the car after that it felt like the rear end was wondering. At this point, I believe I have three options. Two cost around $500 dollars each, and eliminate the HICAS rig off the rear sub frame entirely, witch is best case. (Driftworks/SPL) The third, and the one my question is based on. I found a post here on TT.net that stated, I simply needed to remove the fuse to disable the HICAS on 94-96 cars. (electric motor controlled HICAS) It was posted sometime ago by Bernie. (good source.) Just wanted to confirm this is in fact a good way to disable HICAS on the 94-96 cars? Can I simply remove the fuse and disable the system? Does the rear rack automatically lock to a neutral, and centered position? I have already removed the fuse. I think I drove the car for about two miles at low speed after the fuse was removed before I took it apart again. Seemed to feel like it wasn't wondering any longer. Anybody know for sure whats up?
