it's hard to find the right words to explain something this complex in a few short sentences. The boost "limiter, or govener" is controlled by adjustment of the TP Limit (I think it's also known as the "fuel cut") in conjunction with the fuel revision map. I think in a stock ecu the TP limit is set at an impossibly high figure so as never to be reached, so in order to create an "overboost, safety net" this TP Limit figure must be adjusted accordingly. Sorry for any confusion.
