Message But it's really your choice. My guess is that they'll last about the same amount of time, given the extra punishment that the 2618 is built for at moderate boost (since switching to forged pistons for stock boost levels would be foolish).

The difference in expansion is 13%:
2618-T6: 22.3 microns/meter-°C
4032-T6: 19.4 microns/meter-°C

Assuming 88mm pistons and (an extravagant) 800°C temperature delta, 2618 pistons will grow by 0.0156mm and 4032 pistons will grow by 0.0136mm.

So, it's up to you whether 0.002mm difference makes you opt for the weaker alloy. I intend to run at least 8 more PSI of boost than stock (17PSI), so my choice was pretty clear cut.

IMO, if you're that concerned with piston slap at startup, you're better off with the stock cast pistons. Otherwise, go 2618 and put a dry film lube on the skirts to help minimize the damage done.

Your powers are useless! I'm wearing my tinfoil underwear!
