| I ended up having to pull out my freshly rebuilt engine because of leaking freeze plugs. I had the engine on for no more than 5 minutes and ended up having to remove it again because all of the freeze plugs are leaking. The freeze plugs are not from Nissan and were purchased from IPP. I pressed them in using a large socket and a mallet. It is very frustrating having to remove the engine, and almost disassembling it completely again (the timing belt needs to be removed to gain access to the 3 plugs in the valley and the one behind the tensioner). I am going to be installing new freeze plugs, but this time I am going to be using some sort of sealant just to be sure. Anyone know any specific sealant that should be used?
Buy Zama Posters Here I have nightmares about that happening...I'd be the poor bastard you'd hear about on the news that gets killed by a softball-size chunk while spreading out my body over the hood and screaming "Nooo!"
