Message	by the tell tale of oil running down the back plate below the seal of the cam pulleys. The back of the cam pulley could also have oil on it. Even though the seals were replaced 1000 mi ago the mechanic could have scratched the steel surface where the seal lip rides on. Let's hope that is not the case. Just do careful inspections.
