Bought my first Z32 this week, a 90 2+2 that will be TT in the summer. I am a 20 year Nissan owner, mainly SR20 powered cars, so this engine is a definite step-up, and nightmare just as all the posts I have been reading. At any rate, It ran like crap, tracked down that the front 2 injectors were dead, replaced them and it seemed to run good, but still a slight miss. I checked the plugs, that were gapped at .053, way to big and they were BKR5EGP's. For testing purposes, I put in a brand new set of Copper BKR6E's gapped correctly at .044. I put a new fuel filter on and now have no spark at all. Fuel pump is good, tested that, plenty of pressure. the car ran after the 2 new injectors, and fired for about 1.5 seconds after the new plugs, but cannot get it to fire again. Where should I start: igniter, ECU, or CPS? I checked all the coil packs prior to checking the injectors with noid lights and the ole 12" screwdriver to ear method and they worked fine. I tried removing a cop and even put the old spark plug in and grounded the threads, then cranked it over, no spark. Help me diagnose this please, I am pretty good with cars, so technical jargon will not confuse me. TIA!
