You do know that the old cracked coil pack connectors can be de-pinned and then those pins inserted into the new plastic ones? This eliminates a need to crimp or solder....

If you go the butt connector route -- I'd plan to cover the whole thing (after crimping) with some dielectric grease, cover with a piece of heat shrink tubing (slipped over the wiring before crimping), cover that with some electrical tape and then finalize with cold wrap tape (type of tape that chemically bonds to itself -- car stores have it).
