I have a 94 NA and I'm doing the timing belt and replacing the knock sensor. I've read many posts and some say I have to remove the EGR bolts to get the lower plenum off, other posts do not mention this at all and just say that you have to remove the timing belt to get the idler pulley(which I'm doing as I write this). I just need to know for certain, before I waste time, will I need to remove the EGR bolts in the back? If yes, then I'll drop the tranny since I'm also replacing the clutch. I just don't want to tear down too much at once unless I absolutely have to in order to get to the EGR bolts.
Thank you!!!
