So my car is idling weird. I bought this car with year old gas in it that
was ran to the gas light, the coolant was horrible and it was a rust
orange color, oil wasn't in best shape either. I put new gas in it, new oil,
and new coolant, but heres the problem I try and start my car and it
takes a couple of turns to get the motor running. Once it's running it idles
at around 1k rpm's pretty steadily. then it starts dropping and vibrating
and wanting to die. It never use to die but today it was idling for about
30 seconds then it dropped to like 300 rpm's and died. I thought it was
my fuel injectors so I tested them with a multi meter. Also it hasn't done
this lately but it sometimes drops in idle when you lightly press on the
gas.This is how the end results were: Injectors: #1 - 12.6 ohms
#2 - 12.7 ohms
#3 - 12.8 ohms
#4 - 12.7 ohms
#5 - 12.7 ohms
#6 - 12.7 ohms And I was reading that anywhere from 10-14 ohms is fine. So now I don't think it's my injectors.
Tomorrow I'm going to check the ohms on my spark plug coils which
should be anywhere from 0.7 - 1.6 ohms
And I'm going to check and replace my spark plugs as well. What else should I check to fix this problem? Thanks.
