Message	The original power antenna is very repairable, and with proper treatment can last as long as the rest of the car. I replaced my mast 15 years ago after bits of the whip broke off inside the clutch assembly. The antenna has worked flawlessly since that time. If you even consider replacing the antenna system with another from (Horrors!!!) a Volkswagen, keep the original to pass on to the next owner of the car. He may want to return the car to stock.
