| 1-Check heated O2 sensors-- When disconnecting heated O2 sensor harness connectors, is the hunting fixed? No, both unplugged, no change. go to step 2 2-Perform Power balance test-- Is there any cylinder which does not produce a momentary engine speed drop? No. I did this via BlaZt cable and datascan software. Shut down each cylinder one at a time. Each cylinder created rough engine speed drop when deactivated. Skip to step 4 3-Check spark plugs for fouling etc 4-Check for intake air leak-- When pinching blowby hose (PCV), does the engine speed rise? No. I clamped the DS first, then went to passenger side and pinched it with pliers. I could hear the PCV click in each, but no change at all. 5-Check EGR valve-- Check for sticking EGR deleted, both caps in place. Now what? Get it to a compressor for boost leak test? Could this really be from a simple boost leak??
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism", they will adopt every principle of our socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without ever knowing how it happened.... I no longer need to run on the Socialist Party ticket because the Democrat Party has now adopted our platform." --Norman Thomas, 1944 Socialist Party Presidential Candidate "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." --Winston Churchill |
