Message You might as well replace the gaskets since you're there. But they would also probably be fine to re-use. I would replace them though.

Those two gaskets, as well as the one you already have for the upper plenum, are the only ones you would require.

As for the 1st and 2nd. There is a torque sequence that you should find in the service manual that indicates the order in which to tighten the bolts. The 1st indicates the torque value for the first round of tightening. The 2nd indicates the final torque value that you put on when you tighten the bolts for the second time.

It's meant to more evenly apply torque to what you are fastening. You'll find torque sequence numbers and various torque amounts for each steps for several things - such as the cam journals, the head bolts/studs, etc.

Hope that helps.

Oh, and the torque specs are 2.2 to 3.6 ft lb on the first pass. 17 to 20 ft lb on the second pass for the ones on the ends. The longer ones used in the middle section, 1st pass is 2.2 to 3.6 ft lb, 2nd pass is 12 to 14 ft lb.

In pretty much all cases, you start apply torque to the fasteners in the middle of what you are fastening and work your way out going top middle, bottom middle, etc etc. Use the drawing on EM-33 for the head bolts as an example. I don't think the lower plenum actually has a listed sequence, however, I always fasten it from center outwards in two passes.
