Message I'm changing my timing belt, clutch, and injectors, so I'm thinking I should also change the knock sensor since it's been giving my 1994 NA ECM permanent errors (until I reset the ECM) for several years now. I'm removing the upper plenum (intake manifold collector per FSM). Once I take off the upper plenum:

1. Do I just need to remove the intake manifold (name per FSM) to access the knock sensor?

2. What gaskets do I need? I already have the 14035M that goes between the upper plenum and the intake manifold, do I just need the other two 14035 (left and right) that go to the sides of the intake manifold? Is there anything else that I'll need, to put back together this lower level plenum?

3. In the Factory Service Manual, page EM-8 diagram, it states torque values as follows:
1st: N-m (kg-m, ft-lb) with actual values of course, then
2nd: N-m (kg-m, ft-lb)

What do they mean by "1st" or "2nd". It's not clear.
Also, does anyone know the torque values for all the bolts that hold the intake manifold (i.e. lower plenum)?

Thanks!!
