I used a box cutter and cut the corners off the strips that slide into the socket location holes to make them thiner so they would fit. The small lamp fit but I still had to push it in with force and it was almost imposible to get back out. Then I tried trimming the larger holders but the two sides of them were to wide and required a lot of trimming in order to make them fit. And even then they were so tight I could hardly turn them in the socket without stripping the slot for the screwdriver. I found that since you only need to modify three lamps, the small and two large ones in the right pod, it was easier to just swap the lamps into the OEM sockets. It only took a few minutes and it was safer than trying to cut the sockets.
