whew just spent the past 6 hours doing a transmission swap cleaned up a few things and such (the old trans had no 5th gear)...it was surprisingly very easy (with a lift :P) and that includes taking a trip to the hardware store for some new bolts. in any case, all is good now, new shifter bushings are awesome, but my speed sensor is a bit figity, i am scared, but have no time to check it yet but i had to buy a new gear with my old transmission cause i installed it wrong and it destroyed the gear, now i was careful when i installed this sensor, but i used the sensor that came off this used transmission instead because the wire hardness looked to be better, but when i started test driving with it on the highway, i was doing well over 70 but the speedo hit 60 then it dropped to 0 and stopped working...ideas? could I have destroyed that gear again and possibly destroyed the transmissions internal gears (which would BLOW!!!) or do you think it's just the sensor that may be bad, i am using a NA trans with a NA speed sensor and TT gear (i have a tt rear)
