Subject	Putting engine in, should I take the down pipes off?

Message	I plan to take the engine off the stand pretty soon and put the clutch on before putting in. I have the 3" SZ downpipes, should I remove those for clearance when putting in the engine? Will removing the downpipes make getting the tranny on easier? thx John
