| i hope i got to you in time before u went the entra mile for nothing. look wires short all the time i just had my alternator wire from the ignition go on me and i happened during an exhaust swap which led me astry. it just goes to show that you can be doing something and something goes wrong that u may feel is a result and its not just a coincidence. Now to test it just take a good size wire (say 10-12 gauge) and run it from the positive battery terminal to the blue wired fuse in the fusible link holder. now to make this easy just take out the fuse and let someone hold or attach the wire (temporary) to the terminal towards the front of the car. try both terminals where the blue fuse goes in just to be sure. Also to save you the trouble and to check if your starter harness is bad just use the same size wire with one end from your positive battery terminal and take the other end go under your car. you will see a singe wired connector coming from you starter. unplug it and touch the wire to the inside of the connector coming from the starter. if all is well your starter will wind up but your car wont start even if it does cuz nothing else is getting power. and i know thats not the problem because your starter harness has nothing to do with the rest of your car getting power.
