I'm very, very, VERY close to being done (for now, we know how it goes) with fixing a 300zx I just bought to "presentable." There are a few more problems here and there but the one that's going to drive me insane, considering I live in Florida, is the A/C. The system had a recent charge done on it by the previous owner and the A/C was working fine until 2 months ago. He said the temperature was reading wrong. "Uh...k?" thought I at the time. But now that I've bought the car I see exactly what he meant. I think it has something to do with the ambient temperature reading on the CCS. My car believes it to be -124 degrees out, all the time. My salt-covered tank tops says differently. And now matter how long I run the car or the time of day it just sticks at -124 with the occasional bounce to -123. Does this sound normal? If not what should be the things I could diagnose? This is my first experience with a climate control system, I've searched around here (and other forums) and found nothing like it.
