the fuel pump start and begin to prime the lines for pressure for initial startup. One sure fire to check if you have pressure in the line is to just put an inline gauge in, you can but these as a tool at a auto store or simply make one yourself from brass fitting using a gauge. If you are not getting fuel pressure than you will never start. You will always need three things to fire an engine - spark, fuel and timing. Timing probably isn't your problem as I wouldn't think your engine has had the timing recently done, or has it? Spark and fuel then. Start with the fuel pump and then move onto spark. Also, check the relays next to the battery, for good measure as you proceed through your diagnostic.
