Message What is under the hood that, when heated, will drop fuel pressure?

The fuel pressure is fine when the car is cold but as soon as it starts to warm up it drops off from about 38 psi at idle down to 25-26 psi. I've tried testing, swapping, replacing and otherwise poking at just about every part of the fuel system from injectors to hose to controller voltage. So far everything is in perfect working condition, everything responds as it should, the fuel pressure is just 13 psi lower than it should be.

And in the course of trouble shooting I've found that once the car is warm and fuel pressure has dropped off if I keep the hood closed it will stay around 25-26 psi. If I then open the hood a few minutes later it's up to 32-33 psi. Closing the hood again brings it back down to 25-26.

So obviously it's heat related. I don't think it's the fuel injectors because they ohm perfect and are new style Nismo 615s that only have around 30,000 miles on them. And the car runs more or less okay, just very lean from lack of fuel pressure, not at all what you'd expect if the injectors were trashed and emitting fuel in an erratic fashion.

I've checked all the hoses and other fuel related parts. For a longer list of stuff I've checked go to:

I'm just about out of things to try so any ideas no matter how weird or non-fuel system related are appreciated.
