Message	battery's negative terminal. Whenever I first make the connection I get a large surge (5 - 6 amps or so) along with some things clicking --- after 1-2 seconds everything settles down to a 30mA draw level (which is normal). Why don't you repeat this same test? Steady state (all doors and hatch closed, lights off, etc) you should be seeing 25 to 30mA or so. This test will tell you all is functioning normally.
