You might want to just rule this possibility out since it costs you nothing and should be done anyway. It was the cause of a fuel pressure problem I had a few years back. Pull the fuel pump assembly out, replace the 2" long section of hose connecting the pump to the bulkhead and use real screw clamps instead of the clips the factory used. That hose gets soft over time and the wimpy clips cant hold it tight and pressure bleeds off (inside the tank). You would never know it other than by pressure loss in the rails. It happened to me only at WOT when the FPC gave full voltage to the pump, car drove fine otherwise.
