I really don't think it's cutting corners to go the piggyback route. In fact it'd cost more time and money the piggyback way. Here is the main issue i have with the EPROM update: 1) There aren't two Z's that will ever have the same characteristics or AFRs, same mods or not. Ash or JWT are likely using generic maps to base their eprom updates from, and only using 3 variables (octane, intake, injectors). Presumably this will never be as accurate OR as safe as getting the tune with a piggyback on your actual car. I'm just guessing here...
