| with the proper tools I think your shop is clueless...they severely under-quoted the job at 240 bucks. They'll need to remove the timing belt, upper plenum and camshafts to get to the seals which is a hell of a lot more than 3 hours of labor. If you're having problems with burning oil...valve stem seals would be the last item I would suspect on a turbo car. What are your symptoms? Are you sure this is the problem? I replaced the valve seals on my 240sx without removing the head. I would get a puff of blue smoke after leaving a traffic light, which generally indicates valve stem seal failure.
