The wideband setup does not have to be that expensive. Of course if you get the Nistune I would think you are inclined to do some of your own tuning or tweeking. That said you should get a wideband but you might not need the actual $100 gauge that comes with the $300 kit. You can get away with buying the lambda cable, software, with bosch sensor as a kit w/o the gauge for around $180. Then bung both testpipes, and install the wideband to reach both bungs. The Nistune as well as free Innovate software can datalog everything. If you have gotten this far then you do need to be monitoring your afr at ALL times. If you have a good boost controller like the Greddy E-01, Blitz SBC, or Apexi AVCR BC with optional harness then you can wire your wideband into that to display the AFR.
