Message I am having a terrible time trying to figure out the cause of my fuel pressure drop after engine shut off. Several searches have turned up many suggestions but no answers. A pressure guage placed at the outflow end of the filter resulted in the following: pinching the fuel line between the fuel rail and the guage resulted in the pressure holding, indicating the problem is not with the check valve in the fuel pump. Pinching the line between the guage and the tank results in fairly rapid pressure drop. There is no fuel odor after engine shut off and an oil change last week had no fuel odor. I even ran the engine for a while and let it sit before draining the oil. The fuel has to be going somewhere after engine shut off. The car is very hard to start but runs fine once started. The car is a 92 TT with about 150K miles.
