Message I've got what I'm hoping is a bad fan clutch or a bad radiator fan on my automatic 1990 TT. After driving it home from work last night I noticed a strange noise from the front of the engine. Opened the hood and could visibly see the radiator fan wobbling which was pulling on the belts and making all kinds of bad noises. I don't think the blades hit any of the belts, yet.

From searching I've found out that this is most likely my fan clutch or my fan, but before I go buy the parts I'm trying to make sure it isn't something more sinister. The car isn't overheating or seem to be leaking any fluid so I'm fairly sure it's not the water pump. I'm not the most accomplished mechanic but I'm pretty sure I can change the fan and the fan clutch if that's actually the problem.

So my question- is anyone willing to come take a look at my Z and let me know if I'm right before I go buying parts I don't need? Moving halfway across the country put a bit of strain on my wallet and unfortunately the Z is my daily driver at the moment. Or if anyone in the Irving area knows of a reputable mechanic, that would be great info too.

I won't be able to check this till I get back from work this afternoon but I'd appreciate any feedback.
Thanks-

Joel
