Message	There is a bolt that goes through the knock sensor, making metal to metal contact on top. If I am not mistaken (I'm not), when the bolt threads into the block it makes *tada* metal to metal contact. Sounds grounded to me. That said, it couldn't hurt to remove the paint and get a bigger ground area.
