Message	I'd leave the cap off and turn the wheel from full lock to full lock (engine running) at least a dozen times. Then go for a ride and top it off again afterwards, then check it after a couple days of driving. If you run out of fluid (not sure if it's just really low like you say, but definitely if empty), you've got air throughout the system so it takes quite a bit to work it out.
