Message Another issue is the motor will be swinging around on the chain and could possibly scratch the paint or break/bend something.

You might want to consider dropping the front cross member (with the engine hoist supporting the motor) to gain access to the turbos without pulling the motor out of the car.

If it were my car, I'd pull the motor completely out and do the work with it on an engine stand. In theory, if you had all of the parts ready this could be done over a weekend.
