Message I really hate it when people make incorrect claims, especially in tech. The erroneous post is here:

Claiming that the online manual says to change the belt after a certain number of miles or a certain period of time. This is totally incorrect, as you can see here:

This is the same page of the online manual cited in the erroneous post. You can plainly see (in the line above "Chassis and Body") that the manual does not provide a number of months after which to change the belt. It only provides a number of miles to change the belt.

In the end, you can change the timing belt whenever you like. But you are wasting money if you do it based on time.
