Subject	What would cause an ecu to short out?

Message	I know I've asked before, but didn't get to many responses. I have had 2 ecu's short out. One with an old harness and found a bare wire on the injector. This time brand new harness. I just want to eliminate all causes before I put in the newest ECU. Thanks everyone.
