Message brownish soupy. Typical break down of smoke is white= head gasket, blue=oil, and black= rich fuel.

Do a compression check on all cylinders and see what turns up. You should have no left over oil in your engine if it was drained and on top of that the minor amount left is nothing to even worry about and wouldnt bother anything.

I think you may have other issues then what you think. Do a good check of the engine and check for codes, plug color, leaks, and make sure all is running right. It is possible that you have knocking from the blown head gasket or from a related cause. Hope that helps.
