Message What stops the car from starting is that the relay is wired so that once the turbo timer times out and the car shuts off, it also turns the relay off. The relay is providing the link from the battery to the fuseable link.

The momentary switch latches the relay when the car key is turned to the ON position. I placed a note in the schematic on starting the vehicle. The relay is always in use untill the turbo timer turns it off.

Regarding your last question. Yes, if you do not use the bypass switch the ECU will reset. The bypass switch can be used to keep the memory to the ECU if you suspect there is something wrong that requires you to check for ECU codes. The self learn doesn't take very long to regain things and resetting the self learn can be good at times.
