Message +12v when engine is off helps long term or not? I've done this mod (see the autoFAQ section of site) -- I just ran a line from the common +12v line that feeds all the injectors over to engine fuse box and added a relay to the box. Ran the switched line back to the injector area on plenum (zip tied to main harness run) and used it as the common +12v source for the injector connectors. There's no resistance or current flow issues if using 18 guage wiring.

My experience so far with this mod:

1- old style (but new) injector installed 26 months ago is still working fine.

5 - old style (new) injectors installed 14 months ago A-OK.

I only run the car in the fair weather months, going maybe 2-3k per year and all local drives. So it does sit Nov to April. I also add Lucas injector cleaner and lubricant at each gas tank fill-up. Maybe this helps too?

Waiting to see how long my oldest installed injector lasts before failing? I'm expecting it to go sooner or later - but happy so far that all has been good.
