| I cleaned it off with a rag. I applied Castrol HD30 to the bearings and the crank prior of setting the crank in there. The bearings grades are from the numbers punched on the block, and I have double checked everything with plastigage, everything is OK. There was no grove on the bearing. I guess something was still dirty, or I did not apply enough oil or something... I used a craftsman torque wrench and torqued the bolts according to the FSM. The wrench was calibrated prior to this. I just hope I don't end up spinning the bearing sigh.
